Stone Lake Trail

La Porte, Indiana

Following the development of the Soldiers Memorial Park master plan, PEA assisted the City and Park Department to obtain grant funding for the implementation of a new multi-use trail and shoreline improvements along Stone Lake. The project consisted of converting the two-way Lakeshore Drive into one-way vehicular traffic and a separated trail.

The trail will also include a series of nodes for resting, water access, music play and fishing. Designs were completed in April 2020 and construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2020.
