Dickinson Road Park Master Plan

Chesterton, Indiana

In 2024, PEA worked with the Chesterton Park Department to develop a master plan for an undeveloped 26 acre parcel on the east side of the community. The project site provided challenges with a large gas pipeline easement and vast area of debris piles.

The planning process helped develop the program for the site, in conjunction with a system-wide master plan the department was undertaking. This site would provide a dog park, walking trails, shelters and waterfront access to Coffee Creek. Construction cost estimates and phasing strategies were developed. The project is currently seeking funding through grants for implementation.
