Valori Kolarczyk Healing Garden
Crown Point, Indiana
PEA worked with a private donor and Community Healthcare Systems to develop alternatives and construction budgets for a publicly accessible healing garden. The project includes a large pollinator garden of primarily native plant species along with passive seating areas for quiet contemplation and therapeutic benefits.
A large lawn area and fabric shade structure was included on the northern portion of the garden to serve as an event space that can be programmed for yoga and other rehabilitative activities. The garden was opened to the public in October 2019.
