Green Infrastructure Guidelines

In 2022, PEA teamed with an engineering firm to develop Green Infrastructure Guidelines for the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission (NIRPC). These guidelines were developed to assist local municipalities in decision making for different green infrastructure strategies related to new roadway projects.

PEA collaborated with NIRPC, local MS4 coordinators and select stakeholders to develop details, maintenance guidelines and ranking systems for various green infrastructure strategies. NIRPC will be developing these guidelines into an interactive website.
